La Dolce Vita
Poster for classic Italian film
Role: Graphic Designer
At the centre of this poster is a composite image of the Trevi fountain and a still from Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita, which I originally created for one of many ad campaign concepts for a TIFF Cinematheque series entitled “Summer in Italy.”
While the final campaign went in almost the exact opposite direction, I still wanted to do something with the image, so I quickly dashed off this poster.
It didn’t take me very long to recognise that my design was a little too close for comfort to designer Sam Smyth’s poster for L’Avventura. (Though I still really like the central image!)
